Very slow startup w/ Snow Leopard.

I finally did a fresh install of SL last week and it helped the speed of my '07 MBP immensely. Considering I first had Tiger then added Leopard on top of Tiger and then added Snow Leopard on top of Leopard, it really bogged down the speed of my system for the past 4 years.
I backed up everything with CCC, did a fresh install of SL, migrated my applications and now it’s like having a new MBP all over again.

Thanks. Just running the install disk did the trick. Back to normal.

Makes me wonder what causes it, though.

Thanks, but what did you do once you ran the Installer disk? Did you run Disk Utility/Repair permissions from the disk, or did you actually re-install the OS?
