• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Imported music in iDVD project skips on DVD

So, I made a nicely edited movie from a wedding using iMovie. I shared to iDVD and created a nice menu structure and slideshow using photos from iPhoto.

I added a few songs to the about 300 iPhoto pictures. Those songs play fine in iDVD in the preview mode. However, when I created my DVD they skipped while playing on the TV.

The sound and songs in the movie were fine with no skipping, however the songs in the photo slideshow skipped.

So, is there a problem with the imported music? Doubt that since it doesn't skip in iDVD. Is there a problem with the DVD itself? Maybe the player itself? Didn't skip during the movie though.

Used blank Sony DVDs, so assume that it is of higher quality.

To put possible blame on the burned disc, play it in your Mac using DVD Player. Does it skip there.

What format were the original files; AVI, ACC, MP3? I'm wondering if converting them to say AIFF might help the situation. That might be worth a try.
