creatve 7.1 speaker on mac

I just bought the creative 7.1 speaker but when i installed it on my macbook only the 2 front speaker and sub-woofer are working...what should i do? do i need to buy soundblaster?

21" iMac 2.9Ghz 16GB RAM - 10.11.3, iPhone6s & iPad Air 2 - iOS 9.2.1, ATV 4Th Gen tvOS, ATV3
I posted THIS to do with 5.1 to MacBook.
Havnt had anything to do with 7.1 but dont really think there is too much differant. Might put u on the right track anyway. Good luck
