Has anyone else found that the divx web player does not work in Safari (in OS X 10.6)? It seems to work without a problem in firefox, but when using Safari it is as though it is not installed. It worked without a problem in Safari on OS X 10.5, so I'm assuming that it is something to do with the 64 bit version of Safari 4.

Yes, it is linked to the fact that Safari is run as a 64-bit application. The way to get around this (if you want to keep using Safari) is to run it in 32-bit mode. To do this, right click Safari > Get Info > General > check "Open in 32-bit mode".
