I recently installed Vista via Boot Camp and noticed a very significant increase in my MBP (~ 80C) when Vista is running. It is especially hot at the upper part of the laptop (above the top keyboard row).

However, it is not hot when I run MacOS under the same load. So does anyone know what component is at that upper part or why it gets so hot in Vista?

Many thanks.

I have the same thing happening here.

Wouldn't think too much of it, since the temps are nominal when running in MacOSX

regards...:)

I believe that Vista has no control over the fan speed via Bootcamp. I guess you could set up the fan speed using smcFanControl and then reboot?
