Hi all,
My cousin got a new iPod Touch from Target, but with OS 2.2.1, not 3.0. I upgraded my 1st-gen Touch to OS 3.0. So I'm just curious. Which is better? A 1st-generation iPod Touch with OS 3.0, or a 2nd-generation iPod Touch with OS 2.2.1?

Gen 2 is better with the external volume control, but even better if you spend the $10 to unlock bluetooth. So, IMO the gen 2 is better, but for all the toys you need 3.0

Obviously, a 2nd-gen is better than 1st-gen if they have the same OS. But now I have 3.0, I'm never going back to OS 2.2.1. Even if it means getting a new iPod Touch.

But yes, 3.0 is well worth the $10.
