Hi Everyone

I have a easy question. In system accounts how do you delete the short name in the password screen, It's is grayed out. I'm asking this because I just got a used PB G3 laptop and can't change the computers name.

I don't know if i did it the hard way or not. I had to reboot the OS from the install cd's. I was gonna update to Panther anyway, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Maybe there is an easier way. Hopefully someone with more experience can confirm this or tell me I am crazy...ha ha!

there's no way to change the short name except for doing an erase and install.
