Hi all, I seem to have this little problem with my newly bought Epson Stylus SX400 Printer.

I've taken all the neccesary steps to install the needed software, that comes with it, but my MBP doesn't recognize the printer at all.

It's just not appearing in the darn printerlist.
Anybody have any idea??
I'm at a loss...:)

If you're running SL, you might check and see if they've got an update for it on their web site.
Already read that HP is still working on drivers for some of their models to function properly with SL.

Just as an FYI: With pretty much all 3rd party hardware, typically you'll want to download the latest drivers and software from their site instead of using the disk.

Have never had an Epson, but if it's anything like HP, you'll want to make sure you use their uninstaller to remove what you've already installed if they do have a new driver/software available.

Oh, and we all miss the easy stuff when we're working on our own machines. :)

I only wish it were easy, I've downloaded the latest drivers, and uninstalled through the proper channel, installed the drivers, but still nothing...

It's just not showing in the printerlist...:Grimmace:

Well, if there was an epicentre of total and utter stupidity, I would have been right smack in the middle of it.:[

I don't like acknowledging it but I was using the USB-in for the mediacarrier as a USB-in for the MBP....:Shouting: ;D

So that solves my problem, and it's printing like there's no tomorrow!

Thanks bobtomay:)
