So, i've been trying to free up some space on my hard drive.
Music and videos are taking up the most space obviously but theres one thing i dont understand.
when i go to my iTunes, in my library it says i have 21.91 gigs of music'
but when i go to my iTunes music folder it says i have 42 gigs... what???
are my music files being duplicated somewhere? where are they? do i need 2 copys or is it something else?
also, movies. Which file do they go into after they are droped into itunes?
thanks for comments in advance

If you want to know whether you have duplicates, open iTunes and goto File menu and then click on "Show Duplicates". If there are any duplicates, you can select and delete them.

Movies and TV shows purchased from the iTunes Store go into the same folder as your music. For example, the folder on my Mac is about twice as large as iTunes reports when viewing my music because I have a TV show from the iTMS.
