Hi there, I've just bought a Macbook Pro and have two questions:
1) I need to safely transfer all my files and setting from my current 2007 Macbook to the new machine. I'm running time machine so I know the original system is completely backed up but I'm worried about pulling files from time machine into a newly configured system. Will that be straightforward or do I need to back up folders separately?
2) I then need to completely and safely clear the older system before I hand over to the person I've sold it to. They are very computer literate and I want to make sure none of my 'deleted' files are retrievable. Will a system reinstall do the trick or do I need to delve in deeper?
Many thanks in advance!
