Hey all,
I was perusing my logs and I noticed this message is filling my system log up:
Sep 2 06:54:17 Enterprise /Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/Server/NETserver.app/Contents/MacOS/NETserver[212]: dnssd_clientstub deliver_request: socketpair failed 24 (Too many open files)
Sep 2 06:54:17: --- last message repeated 499 times ---
Sep 2 06:54:17 Enterprise /Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/Server/NETserver.app/Contents/MacOS/NETserver[212]: *** process 212 exceeded 500 log message per second limit - remaining messages this second discarded ***
These appear to have started about the same time I installed SL - so I'm sure it's either an incompatibility issue or something went wrong on my SL install - I was just wondering if anyone had seen this error before on SL or previous versions of OSX (offending program is irrelevant, I'm more curious about the error and what could cause too many files to be marked open)
The only other possibility I could imagine is that I'm in the midst of a major file shift (I had shifted about 1.5 TB of data off my drobo to reformat it as HFS+ (it was NTFS) and now I'm copying it back - which I also started around just after I upgrade to SL)
