I have an early 2008 mac book pro that I just acquired when my grandfather recently passed away. Two question. Can I install 6GB of ram and can I install 800mhz (PC2-6200) or am I stuck with 667mhz (PC2-5300)?

This seems to be your computer:

Apple MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.5 15" (08) Specs (Early 2008 - MB134LL/A) @ EveryMac.com

It says you can upgrade to 6 gig of ram (2 gig + 4 gig sticks).

I think that you're supposed to stick with PC-5300...rather than PC-6200. Here's the kit you need from OWC:

6.0GB Kit (2.0GB+4.0GB) PC2-5300 DDR2 667... (5300DDR2S6GP) at OWC

Hope this helps,

- Nick
