How to reduce Desktop magnified on Macbook Pro

I need help adjusting my display on my desktop to my Macbook Pro. My son was touching the Keypad and now my desktop display in magnified and I can't figure out how to reduce to see the whole desktop complete on the the display

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hold down Ctrl whilst scrolling down on your mouse/ trackpad.

Press "Ctrl" + scroll up to magnify, press "Ctrl" + scroll down to de-magnify.

Tried this. No luck. Any other ideas?

2019 iMac 27"; 2020 M1 MacBook Air; macOS up-to-date... always.
The default key combos for this, found in the Universal Access preferences, is:
Option-Command-minus key/plus key

You can also enable/disable the feature selectively by pressing:
Option-Command-8 (if the feature is otherwise turned on).

Or turn it off entirely, under Universal Access in the System Preferences.
