I have a 15" 1.25g powerbook g4 fw 800 that unfortunately has a burnt out lower memory slot:( if I wanted to replace the logic board do I have to use one from my exact model pb or can I use a logic board from any 15" pb?? like maybe one from a 1.67g pb???

thanks!

You should use an exact replacement board. It's possible another board may be OK but think about all the work and sweat to swap it out and then have it not function correctly.... :(

Regards.

As mentioned above, you need the exact board. One obvious difference re the 1.67 GHz logic board is the connectors are different, that's just one of many. Apple can no longer fit your logic board as the product is vintage, eBay and other second hand sources are your only chance.
