snow leopard- iphoto, ichat, idvd, probably more wont open

so i put in a new had drive today after installing snow leopard, restored from backup, it took all day but its working now

i installed the mac osx apps with the dvd that came with my macbook and restarted it

but the apps just crash and dont even open for a second

any help would be appreciated

I'm having exactly the same problem. iDVD is highly unstable - sometimes managing to crash before managing to open a file
