I'm going to be authoring my short film in DVD Studio Pro and this will be my first time doing so. At the post house that did my HD online, they have quoting me a couple hundred dollars to do the mpeg2 and ac3 stereo encode. My question is this - is it best to do the encoding at a post house or should I simply have them make me a quicktime of my HD sequence and do the encoding in Studio Pro? Are there advantages to doing it at a post house, which they said will be done in real time?
