I have a MacBook and am trying to write HTML code in Microsoft Word. I save the file as a text file with a .html file extension. But my computer does strange things when I try to reopen the file, like either opens it in Safari where I see the text or opens it in Word with the actual web layout. What am I doing wrong?

Richtext can be a pain, whitespace created by richtext is what makes things odd in any code.

Glad you got it sorted.
