Replacing 1 1GB DDR2 SDRAM on Macbook with 2 1GB DDR3 SDRAM?

Is that possible?? I have 2 1GB DDR3 SDRAM's and a free macbook. I want to upgrade the ram to 2 GB but I'm not sure if I can use DDR3 on macbook which uses DDR2.. I was told that macbook pro can use DDR2 SDRAM, but not sure about the other way around..

anyone..???
