I dont think a video card in an ibook is upgradeable at all. I dont think any laptop ideo cards are upgradeable. But i am by no means an ibook expert, i could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure the video card is built into the board so it's impossible to upgrade it.

Yeah. Notebook computers aren't meant to be upgradeable, they're meant to be portable.

Use your G5 if you want to do anything graphics intensive.

although 32mb isn't a lot, compared to a lot of other entry computers it is pretty good.

As the other posters said: The Video card in your iBook is welded to the mainboard and has no extra slots to which you could add memory, so you're stuck with the card that you bought it with (i.e. the 9200 Radeon with 32MB RAM).

The 15" powerbooks have a build-to-order option of adding more RAM to the graphics card to bring them to 128MB in total. The 17" have this as standard.

That's what I like about Apple, it's not that it's over-priced it's if you get certain hardware, they give you the best you can get for that machine..So realistically your just paying more cause your getting more (=
