The title says it all. I got my Late 08 MacBook with the standard 150 GB harddrive and now want to upgrade to a 500 GB HDD. I bought a new western digital drive on newegg before realizing I can't find the install disc.
Basically, is there any way to install or clone my harddrive without an install disc? Could I connect the new harddrive to usb with an enclosure and transfer from one harddrive to the other, then take the old harddrive out and put the new one in its place and boot?
If not that...will Apple sell me a new install disc? I obviously own OS X if I have a MacBook so it's really just a case of a lost disc.
Need help badly. Thanks.
