I have an iMac, and backups with Time Machine. I want to restore my Mac from TM (I've had a software problem), but don't have the installation disk any more and so cannot use the utility menu from that. Can I do this some other way, say, with Migration Assistant?

Is this iMac the same computer that you backed up with Time Machine...or is the Time Machine backup from a different Macintosh?

I have two iMacs, and I keep one as a clone of the other. The one I want to restore is not the one I use for the TM backups.
