Resizing the Finder Window

iMac G5 17", 1.8 Ghz, 1GB RAM
Why is it that when I resize the Finder window, the objects inside do not move with it, thus making it harder to browse the files. Is this normal? If it is normal, is their a way to change it? Can I have the files inside move if I make the window bigger or smaller?

Click View -> View Options

Keep Arranged by (Whatever You Feel Like here)

and do it for all windows

another way i just found out in another thread is to command+j in the finder window. it brings up the same menu.

btw, i keep wanting to call it the explorer window. GD microsoft, brainwashed me.

El Jefe beat me to it. darn it.
