I am looking to sell a few of my macs in the next few days but I wanted to know if there was a way of setting the machine up so when the buyer started the machine it would start like a new mac with all the software installed. all they had to do was fill the registration details.

I am selling the mac with a version of Adobe CS & I wanted to update the system software to the latest updates.

Take it you are including the software CD/DVDs with the machines? If so let the new owners set everything up and complete registration. If no discs, software should not be included.
