Send data to a server after every 5 min

Hi
all i want toknow is this possible to send data to a server after every 5 min.when user open application and after sometime click on Homescreen button still data is transfer to server.is this possible?

No, applications on the iPhone cannot be run in the background. When the Home screen is hit, the application gets a request to quit (and it HAS to be honored). The only application that's allowed to run in the background is the iPod application..

Send Data to Server on every 5 min

Hi
I want to create an application which is linked to a server and data is saved on that server on every 5 minute but one condition is that my application is not running all the time means that updating is done as a background is there any facilities provided by iphone with the help of which this is done.I read a lot about Apple Push Notification service but this is one way communication not two way any other idea.
