Can I use the OS 10.5 install disc that came with my MacBook Pro to install the OS on my Power PC G5 tower? Or is the laptop install disc made just for laptops? The tower (Power PC) is running 10.4.11 or whatever the latest version of 10.4 is.

Not only is it for laptops, it is for that model MBP exclusively. System restore discs are silver grey and there can be different versions for identical models, such as when software upgrades were released etc.
