i know im new here...and i dont know a lot about mac's.

but id really appreciate it if someone could help me out. i really dont like having such an open network.

ive watched a ton of youtube videos and read other forums addressing this issue BUT none of them have trouble loading the page after clicking "save settings"

one of the videos did say "sometime safari wont load the page, just keep trying and it will load" then the video was over. ive tried it multiple times with no success. doh

What model Linksys? Is this a one of the newer Linksys N routers? If so I had that exact problem the other day setting one up for a client. Hit Save and Safari could not find the page.

I opened it in Firefox and all was fine. Something with the firmware on some new Linksys routers does not get along with Safari 4.

I am wondering if Linksys will update their Firmware in the future to fix this issue as older Linksys routers I have used did not have this issue.

Interesting. I did have that issue with a WRT54G and after a Firmware update the problem went away.

For what it is worth, I could get into my Linksys AG310 and make changes with Safari 4 but could not save changes so in the end had to do config changes using Fire Fox

I think that was the model I worked with. One of the newer flat sloping ones. All mine here save just fine with Safari 4. Strange issue.
