20" iMac MacAir
I hadn't used my MacAir for a month and turned it on and all normal.
Went to update and it started and went through a few restarts after installation of some updates and then stopped !

Tryiing to restart using ll the available normal means and even plugging in the superdrive and trying a system re install I get the grey screen of death.
The first line starts with
Panic Version mismatch between Kernel and CPU etc etc......
Debugger called (panic)
0x2fl3fd88 etc etc
ditto ditto for 10 lines then
Backtrace terminated etc ....
Then it goes
MAC OS version not yet set
Kernel version .......

Then I get over the top of all that a RESTART message.

But the same thing happens every time with a restart :Angry-Tongue:

Any clues ????

HELPPPPPPPPP (please)

What has your MacBook Air been doing for the past month?

So are you saying that when you initially started up the MacBook Air it booted fine...and only after the update is when the problems started? Or the problem started as soon as you turned the computer on after not using it for a month?

Have you tried booting from a Mac OS DVD?
