Hello guys,

My MBP automatically joins my neighbor's unsecure network. Is there a way to stop my MBP from doing this on startup? I always have to click on the AirPort icon to choose my own network. Can I set my MBP to not see certain networks (the ones with no security)?

Thanks.

go into Sys Prefs/Network/ then with airport or ethernet selected click Advanced and then reorder Networks by dragging and that should sort it.

Thanks man. Will try that. Hope it works. Have yet to test it. But it should work.

I have set it up. But instead of just reordering the networks I removed all the "preferred" leaving only my own. So hopefully my MBP will have no choice but to join mine.

It works! Though, I'm guessing if you reorder the networks that would work too!

There's no telling some people.
