Spotlight not working properly after hdd upgrade.

I upgraded my MBP13's hdd after cloning my old hdd over to it. It's a 500GB WD Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT.

I noticed that when I try to use spotlight, or the search box in finder, it lags, then clears the text field... what's wrong with it?

What did you use to clone the drive?

Also, have you tried rebuilding the Spotlight index?

I used Superduper.

I'll try reindexing.. but I noticed i'm missing some of my applications... like adium and photoshop. I'm probably missing others too, but I don't know exactly what they are.
