So I have my SSID hidden @ home. Every once in a while my mac doesn't find it and I have to type in my network name and password manually. Any one know why this happens? different setting I need to look at?

Thanks!

Why not broadcast the SSID? If you're using strong encryption (WPA2) your wireless is reasonably safe from hacking or piggy backing.

Regards.

Hidden SSIDs are bad juju for Macs for some reason. I ran into this early on when I got my first MacBook Pro.

chscag is right. Hiding your SSID gives you a very false sense of security as your SSID is still visible by anyone running a WiFi sniffer. All it accomplishes is making it harder for legitimate clients to connect and stay connected.
