Docking Speakers?

I was surprised when I couldn't find any threads about speakers for iPod in the last few pages ...

So my question was:

there are not many cheap ipod speakers, but are those there are any good?
Or should I be looking at cheap computer speakers and forget about docking the iPod in the speaker.

I'm not a big audio man, but I like my music to sound good without needing surround sound with super mega-deep bass boosting gizmos.

steroe will do me fine ... even moneo... if that still exists.
