I see everywhere PCI SATA cards going cheap for regular, crap, windows machines. When it comes to MAC they charge a bit more. It does my head in.

Are there any generic SATA cards that are known to work on a MAC system? My machine is a MDD 867 and I want to run 1TB drives on it.

According to the specs for your machine, it has 4 open PCI slots. A PCI SATA controller card might work. You can always buy one from a retailer who accepts returns - if the card you get does not work.

Regards.
