Canon Laser LBP 1210 printer driver

According to the Canon literature - it states that the LBP 1210 is compatible with OS X. However, an extensive search of drivers for Canon printers shows there are no OS X drivers for the 1210. I even tried looking for one in the Open Source driver community to no avail.
It doesn't appear that it's supported natively. I looked for it in the list of Canon drivers available to OS X and no joy.
The best I can suggest is to try a substitute driver for a similar Canon printer - one that is supported. Try Canon again and also try here. The LBP 1000 and the LBP 1260 are supported by this driver set, perhaps they'll work for your 1210.
