I have all the hardware, I was able to connect the cords and I have video working but audio is not. The audio jack i have does connect to my TV but my HDMI port is Input 3 and the only audio (white/red) input that i have is either input 1 or input 2, i saw some different audio input for the third input but I don't know what cord i would use. It says Audio PC/HDMI on it.

crap can someone move this to the newbie section.

We could make an educated guess here, but I wouldn't suggest you run out and buy cables based on a guess. What is the make and model # of the TV.

Going from your Mac to that TV via HDMI:

You will need a 3.5mm male to male stereo mini-jack cable like this one.

You will connect it to the Audio - PC/HDMI port on the TV - see pg 24 of your manual
You will also need to go into the TV settings - Audio - HDMI Audio and change it to DVI - see pg 23

My educated guess would have been wrong though.
