Spreadsheet with MS Office

hi everyone i got office for my macbook, 2008.
i was wondering because sometimes i help other departments where i work with spreadsheets and that, sometimes this envolves taking the work home, will i be able to open 2007 documents in 2008.

And then if i make the documents on the 2008 and email them to my work email address will i be able to open them on 2007 office.

Sounds like a software question to me, not hardware.

Not sure but if Office behaves as normally everything is compatible back to Office 2003. The only sure way is to try it before depending on it.
