Can I turn on and off firewall ports using automator?
Or use automator to run a script in terminal to turn on and off fw ports?

If you mean port forwarding, its not possible. Each router is different and requires a different process to forward ports for specific applications. Go here to easily forward and test your posts:

I did some searching to see if there was an Automator script to turn your firewall on and off. Couldn't find anything. You may wish to create this action by yourself by using an online tutorial, or maybe you could request it.
