help with connecting to airport express

I am using a new unibody macbook pro (10.5.7) and am trying to connect to an older airport express. The problem is, a) the CD software won't install on this version of leopard, b) Airport Utility that comes with this version refuses to the device. Ie when I scan, it says there are no devices. Can anyone recommend something? thank you

With Apple products there is no need to load anything off of the disc - do a factory reset on the express - and take your time as the express seems to take quite a while to do its internal cogitations - and then do your set up. Use the ethernet lead to the Mac to do set up as AU will find it more easily that way.
