Can I save a dvd onto my harddrive without IDVD
and only Toast Titanium 5?

iDVD is used to create DVDs, as is Toast.

It sounds like you're looking to copy the content of a DVD to your hard drive, yes? If so, what sort of DVD is it (homemade versus commercial)?

Actually No. I have a Video that needs to be burned onto a dvd. I do not have IDvd, but I do have Toast. First, I want to mount a dvd image on my desktop so I can burn it using Disk Utility.

Every new Mac comes with some version of iDVD. But just in case you really don't have it, Toast can do this quite easily without the need to mount the image (even though you should be able to mount an image simply by double-clicking it). Open up Toast, click on Copy => Image File => choose the file and click Burn. That's all there is to it.

Alternatively, you can open up Disk Utility, click Burn and choose your image.
