I don't know if any of you are familiar with Paint.NET, as it is Windows-only, but in my opinion it is the best (free) image manipulation program out there. I really like the way it works and how it is designed, and is the main reason why I have Windows as a virtual machine. However, it would be nice to simply have a image manipulation program for the Mac.

So I wanna ask, do any of you know any image manipulation programs for the Mac that you would recommend? Preferably no more than $3-40, and if you happen to know one really similar to Paint.NET that would be a real plus.

Actually, after some long searching and testing I think I found what I was looking for. It's called Pixelmator. On a trial for now.
