Hi, I currently have the very first intel-CPU based MB (Core Duo 2GHz)

Recently, my palmrest area cracked so I got it fixed (the whole front panel incl. the keyboard) out of warranty.

But the guy at Apple told me that somehow water was in the macbook and he said, it won't be a problem now, but it will eventually stop working..
and asked me $1000 to fix it.

Well, I obviously didn't do it but now I'm worried that it might break down on me all of sudden during my university.

Should I be worried :(

So are you trying to say that your laptop came from Apple with water in it?

If it has never given you a problem before then I'm guessing you shouldn't have to worry.

I would of asked him to prove to you there was water damage inside.

I'm trying to ask if anyone else had this experience..

Being told that water was in the keyboard and that it would eventually break down, but hasn't for a long time.

But thanks.
