Question for techie about how to do this?

Hello,
I'm completely computer illiterate and was wondering if someone (in very simple language) could possibly help me learn how to do this. Basically I want to make it so my computer, while I'm away, can automatically do things. For example: move the cursor and click on a certain spot, then move the cursor again and click on a certain spot in repetition. I want this because I'm playing a game and want to update my information on it while I'm away and I don't want to actually be here for it. Is this possible?

There are ways to do it with Automator, but it's not very reliable. It relies on EXACT conditions that have to be in place every time. Perhaps someone else has an idea.
