DVI to HDMI Connection on a 720p HDTV

I have the cords connected and I have dvd player up and I can't manage to get the program running on the tv. I have tried all three hdmi ports. Can Someone please help me?

How to transfer sound on a dvi to hdmi connection

I am trying to play netflix from my mac to the tv. The picture I have working fine. However, there is no sound. What do I do?
