This is a brand-new iMac 1GHz G4, 17" LCD monitor running OS-X. It has an Airport Extreme card that talks to an older Airport (not Extreme) base station. Upon waking from sleep, we do not reconnect to the wireless network. Upon restarting, we connect successfully.

Any suggestions?

Have you updated to 10.2.8?

Email Apple if you already have.

First, make sure that in your Network settings, the "Join most recently used network" tab is selected. Also, I read that performing a hard reset of our Airport Base Station may help. Instructions are HERE or HERE depending on which base station you have.

It appears that 10.2.8 has fixed this problem. Thank you for your advice.
