HD television for Macbook OS X 10.5.7

Hi, i'm not that great with technological stuff and was just wondering about hooking up tele's with my macbook for my uni room next year.

if i have a hd tele, will my macbook support a hdmi connection with it? or do i need to use my dvi output and convert it to hdmi with an adapter? if i do this, will i be able to play downloaded blu ray films through my macbook?

u will need a mini dvi/minidisplay to hdmi adapter for that. and yes ur macbook can support the 1080p output. help my rep!
