Matthew Rodbourne web site trouble

OK so my web site Matthew Rodbourne I have finally started. But the html code I have written css doesnt work when viewed in Safari. Its the positionbsolute that doesnt seam to work. Is my code ok or not?

wait I have just seen the problem. Basically using the command center along with using left:20px; causes problems.

Is there a way of positioning without using pixels?
