Mail Does Not Receive Email

2019 27" iMac, Retina 5K, 3.6 GHz, 64 GB Memory, 2 TB storage
Mail (1.3.9) does not receive email. My ISP (Comcast) confirmed the server settings are good and sent an email confirming same. However, I'm unable to receive mail. I do not have 3rd party firewalls, etc. installed.

Any suggestions?

access comcast webmail, see if there is possibly an email the is large or something. if there is, read, send it to a hotmail or yahoo account that you have (assuming you have one), and try to dload your email again. if there is not an excessively large email in your account, send all emails to the free mail accounts discussed earlier. then have some one send you a test mail and see if that works. if it does, you will have to sort out which one of the emails is corrupt.
