When I first got my macbook pro I set the screen saver lock to on. A couple of weeks ago I turned the lock off thru system preferences - security - require password to wake computer, the way I thought I turned it on.
This stays off until I turn my computer off and back on, at which point it re-checks itself and I need to provide a password to unlock my screen saver again. I'm not sure why it would re-check every time I turn my computer back on?
