For those of you who are itching to get Snow Leopard as soon as you can, you may now pre-order it on Amazon here. Note though that, as quoted on the product page, "Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S." So, for those of us who are outside of the U.S., you'll have to wait.

I can't find it through amazon.ca for us Canadians. I did find a product page on amazon.co.uk (here) for those of you in the UK but all you can do is sign up to be notified when it becomes available.

Hey Van:

Thanks for that! I now have Windows 7 on pre-order and Snow Leopard. :)

Regards.

I think I'm going to wait for Apple to offer the pre-order. When Leopard was released, they had it sitting on my doorstep the day of the release - plus, I was able to get my Employee Purchase Program discount. It won't be much on $29, but it will probably cover shipping at the very least.

Aside from not being able to pre-order through Amazon, they can't give me my education discount. I'm going to try the local Apple Store when it comes out (or a few days later depending on traffic) so I can get a, as you alluded to, small discount. I can't imagine the education discount being much more or less than than the Employee Purchase Program discount. Nonetheless, it's a discount.

Since I have multiple Macs in the house now, I'm getting a little concerned about purchasing the Family Pack as I've done in the past.

I may end up selling one of these machines prior to another OS release and I'll be stuck with only having the original Tiger disk to put on them for the new owner.

Don't know what to do. :(

I have a MB and an iMac and am the only user. Wonder if I can use it on both without paying for two upgrades?

I think you'll only be able to use it on one Mac, sorry. You might try the family pack which allows you to upgrade (I believe) up to five computers.

I've had my order in at Apple since I got my new MBP. Is that the only way they are doing pre-orders?
