I think microfiber clothes are the best. You don't even need to use chemicals with it. And you can get them anywhere. The company 3M makes them, try looking in your local supermarket or office supply store. The clothes don't scratch anything, they're prefect.

Just what iWhat mentioned above. Or I would buy one of these not only because it cleans your screens, it protects it your investments with your dirty little paws i.e. oil, dust, dirt, .etc <grin>

A little more "high-tech", but not most likely better are these little cloths for cleaning mac screens that they sold at the mac store. It comes with two kinds of cloths in them, a few packs of wet cleaning ones and few packs of dry, um, drying ones. I bought them as a fun gift, 'cause my dad LOVES his mac. Well I've used them on mine and it did a pretty bang up job. I'm not saying you should go out and pay for these things, but if you're wanting to find some pricier stuff, they're out there.

I ditto that. I use it on my current LCD monitor, and a damp and squeezed bounty towel, along with a dry towel works fantasticly!

I use rubbing alcohol. It's really cheap too.

I have read some where that alcohol is not good for the screen, Some thing about it might remove the protective coating.

Yeah, I don't think, I would ever have the guts to use rubbing alcohol on the screen. That's what I got the micro-fiber cloth for; it works wonders for me.

Yes! that's the stuff I was talking about eariler....though mine are in fun colors. hahah, but yeah.

On a spereate note, I think "iWhat" mentioned the rubbing alcohol thing to me when I asked about cleaning the white part of my ibook (where my wrists rest while typing). I've been meaning to try that. I'm not sure about the screen, though (if that IS what he meant).

I recommend rubbing alcohol pretty much for the keyboard, trackpad area, the hand resting area, and possibly the exterior, but the exterior rarely gets dirty for me at least.

Not a problem...not even sure if it was in here, when I asked it...but yeah, no worries.

I use my eye-glass cloth to clean my screen with a little bit of cool water but ring it out..rubbing alcohol supposedly can turn your iBook case a little yellow..

I used lens wipes made specifically for Lens and screens. Contains Isopropyl Alcohol and is silicon free. Been using it for a couple of years on laptop screens now and havn't noticed any after effects.
