I have a new MBP, a Logitech E2500 USB Webcam and the drivers from Macam.

When I connect the camera I get a growl notification: IOUSBCompositeDevice connected.

The driver/viewer opens and seems to run fine but it says 'No camera'.

The camera works fine on an XP machine. On the Mac I don't even see the power light come on. I've tried it both direct to MBP and via a powered USB hub.

Macam list the camera as fully supported but I don't know where to look next.

In my Windows days there was the hardware manager to look at for clues. What is the Mac equivalent?

Any ideas how I can get this working?

Just wandering. Why are you using a webcam when there is already a built in one in the MBP?

I have the built in one and one in my cinema display, but I need one on a wire to monitor something away from my desk.
